Kevin Birou grew up in metro Detroit and studied filmmaking at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. He currently works in both Los Angeles and New York City as a film editor. Since 2015, he has worked primarily with Steven Spielberg’s production company Amblin Partners as part of his editorial team. He has edited multiple features, short films, documentaries and promotional material, as well as assistant edited numerous Hollywood productions.
