Kevin Birou is a New York–based film editor whose work has screened at major festivals including Sundance, Tribeca, BFI, and Aspen. He recently served as additional editor on Tim Blake Nelson’s feature The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd. Prior to that, he edited seven episodes of the Apple TV+ limited series The Crowded Room, and was an additional editor on HBO Max’s The Staircase.  Kevin has edited several independent films, including Disfluency, which won Best Narrative Feature at the Austin Film Festival. Kevin began his career as an assistant editor on three Steven Spielberg films — West Side Story, Ready Player One, and The Post. Kevin is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he specialized in film production.
